I love this book and I know my Grandson will too. I plan to give it to him at Christmas. It's a beautifully written story. The illustrations are lovely. And, best of all, it comes with a CD that has the entire story sung as lyrics to a very nice melody. I plan to give the book along with a polar bear puppet and I think the song will mesmerize my grandson because it is so soothing to listen to. The tune is very catchy and you will want to join in and sing the refrain without any prompting. This is a really special book accompanied by a really special song.
The text rhymes beautifully. The story illustrates God's love in a simple, straight-forward way making it easy for little minds to understand. A mother and child bear are the stars in this delightful book about parent-child love. The book begins with Ephesians 3:17-18: "I pray that you ... may have power ... to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." The parent bear tells the child bear how much love there is for the younger bear, a love repeatedly described as "best, most, high, low, deep, and wide." This runaway bestseller is just right for toddlers! 5 stars!
