How many times have you heard someone say "My baby is the smartest baby in the whole wide world!"? I can recall numerous times I have repeated those beautiful words to my own children and my 2 grandsons.
Being a piano teacher for around 15 years now and always listening to music, I have spent some free time researching children playing instruments at an early age from piano, violin and yes, the guitar. At our local library, I came across this delightful book, Baby Brains Superstar by Simon James. The cover art immediately caught my eye:

This is a tale about a super star talented baby who has ordinary baby needs. Baby Brains expresses an interest in music, and after attending weeks of music school is ready to take the rock world by storm. But on the night of his big debut, instead of playing his new song, he starts crying "I Want My Mommy". The crowd believes that this cry IS the intended song and it becomes a smash worldwide hit. His parents however, know the truth and rush to comfort their genius baby who promptly announces his retirement.
