"Adventures with Buster" "The Adventures Begin with a Guide Dog Named Buster" ("The Buster Series")

Introduction to author, London Lake Pickett
I received a note in my inbox from a person whose name intrigued me from the beginning because it sounded like the first line to a Haiku poem with 5 syllables. Here is London's note to me, prior to the day I was going to have a Glaucoma test from my eye doctor.
Needless to say, I said "yes" and I'm about to share my review here of London's first book of the series. First off, if you've ever had a glaucoma test then you know what it's like to not see very well and have to wear the black sunglasses strip over your glasses, if you wear glasses that is. After my exam, I needed to do a bit of shopping and found it most difficult to even walk because I was always looking down because the light hurt so much. Then to be clinging to the arms of my husband for support and guidance while trying to stay clear of the other shoppers was indeed, an overwhelming experience for me. Yet my curiosity drew me into London's book to see from her perspective."Adventures with Buster" is a children's book that will entertain and educate readers about guide dogs and blindness. I am legally blind, and my guide dog, Buster, and I have been a team for over two years. "Adventures with Buster" is my first book in which I share experiences we have had together. I would like to send you a copy of the book for you to review. Please let me know if you are willing to do so. Thank you for your consideration. London Lake Pickett
My Review
This is a true story of a Goldador (part Golden-Labrador Retriever) Dog that is the author's Guide Dog. "Buster" is trained to guide, protect and follow commands in public and at home. As the new owner develops a safe, heart-warming relationship of loyalty and trust, you'll enjoy reading about their amusing adventures together, of Buster walking past cats, eating a frog, chasing bunnies and a surprise in his mouth! Young and old will enjoy learning how a sweet guide dog and a dear blind woman take care of one another properly, responsibly and so lovingly. Very educational for home and school library with a list of commands in the end notes. It’s true, animal lovers love happy beginnings! When a dog (not just any dog but your dog) finds you or I should say, you find him
or her, then a beautiful friendship begins. I love this book.
