Being a "YaYa" (Grandmother) of 5 is a wonderful journey for me. I am passionate about all of them knowing Jesus, having hope in Christ, and discovering the power in God's word. When our new Bible book arrived, we opened to Psalm 136:1
Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good. His faithful love continues forever. Then we had a small group discussion on the believer's freedom. You know, looking out for others.
1 Corinthians 10:23
You say, "I have the right to do anything." but not everything is helpful. Again you say, "I have the right to do anything." but not everything builds us up. No one should look out for their own interests. Instead, they should look for the interests of others. To the grownups... You know, as Christians we are part of the awesome creation of God: the church! We have a calling from God that glorifies him but also gives our lives meaning and purpose. I believe ministry by definition is unselfish but it blesses you. Acts 2:42-47
So, here's what we discovered about our new Bible for the grandkids...
NIrV Illustrated Holy Bible for Kids
NIrV, The Illustrated Bible for Kids is a new kind of Bible that allows kids ages 4 to 8 years to read the full Bible without chapter and verse numbers and footnotes-study aids that are helpful for adults but can be distracting for kids. This Bible presents the story of God's people in a single column format with a readable font. With nearly every turn of the page, children will encounter full-color illustrations and kid-friendly maps that illuminate the Bible story. For children who want to read on their own or with an adult nearby, this is the perfect first full-text Bible for kids who appreciate the power of story and of God's Word.I received a copy of this book for free as a member of BG2 in exchange for my honest review.
