My Review

The story is about a young boy named Jackson who meets Jesus in a dream and ends up baking Him a cake for His 12/25 birthday. Jackson and his friends have a fun time celebrating his 5th birthday, then he receives news that he'll be an angel in the school Christmas play. Only one problem; Jackson broke his arm. The details of the boy's dream and the dialogue between him and our Savior is special. Plus, the illustrations of family and friends are beautifully done in warm colors. I love Biblical stories (Mark 10:14), especially when a good author can bring them to life. This book is a great example of that.  The morals that come across in this story, like love, trust, acceptance, and faithfulness are told solidly. Coloring pages are in the back of the book, too. I enjoyed the book a lot. It's a wonderful celebration for the Christmas season.

***** stars!
