Big Y Sky

Y in the Sky

Y Clouds
Avocado Y Trees
Every now and then, the farmers will cut down their groves for various reasons, like diseased trees, too tall of a tree reaching to the sky or thinning out their grove. The tree stumps can get burned by the sunlight and hurt the new growth. So in order to prevent that, each tree must be white washed. Perhaps you have seen this before. It's a necessary step for the tree's health and investment in avocado production.

Dr. Seuss' birthday, March 2nd, has become Read Across America Day, a day celebrated by teachers and students to spread the joy of reading far and wide.

Do you have a favorite Dr. Seuss book? There's so many but here's a few that come to mind.

The Grinch:

The Grinch by Dr. Seuss has always been one of my favorite stories. I love that caring and friendship was able to transform the Grinch.

The Cat in the Hat:

Adorable characters are in the book. Get ready for some Rhyme Time Word Family Fun.

The Cat in the Hat Comes Back

The Lorax:

The movie produced by Universal Pictures, Earth Day... If you were the Lorax, how would you help the earth?

Fox in Socks:

Dr. Seuss' ABC

Horton Hatches an Egg

There's A Wocket In My Pocket:

Hop On Pop

Mr. Brown Can Moo

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish

Yertle the Turtle

Gertrude McFuzz

Sam I Am

Thing 1 and Thing 2

If I Ran the Zoo

Hears a Who

How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Bartholomew and the Oobleck

Green Eggs and Ham:

This book contains a repetitive text pattern, focuses on the sight word “like” and is a great way to promote early reading success.

Are you celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss?
